We are looking for Systems Engineers and Solution Architects to join the Principle One team, working closely with our clients and delivery teams across a wide range of projects in the Law Enforcement and National Security sector. We are specifically looking for someone who has experience of solution delivery using Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure.

 

Responsibilities include:

• Working closely with other team members such as Functional, Application, Data and Security Architects to develop designs to deliver new solutions and capabilities to meet customer requirements

• Ensuring designs meet key functional and non-functional requirements and supporting full traceability

• Working with customer technical authorities and product owners to ensure that they have a clear understanding of architecture and design proposals at an appropriate level and their impact on delivery

• Working closely with our delivery managers to drive estimating effort to develop an understanding of potential solution costs and delivery timescales

• Promoting good practice in engineering methods and consistency in delivery across Principle One

• Coaching and mentoring junior staff

 

As a candidate you will have:

• Experience across software design, infrastructure and systems engineering approaches

• Strong customer facing skills and an aptitude for working as part of a team, coaching and mentoring junior staff

• Experience of cloud-based solution architecture with an understanding of the migration path from on-premises to fully cloud-nativex so

• A strong track record of working under agile delivery methods (such as SAFe)

• A strong understanding of modelling languages and tools (such as Archimate and Enterprise Architect)

• Experience of Service Architecture and of preparing for transition into service

• Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
